DISLOG GROUP ACQUIRES CMB PLASTIQUE FROM MUTANDIS GROUP
The industrial group Mutandis, specialized in fast-moving consumer goods, has announced that it has signed an agreement to sell its subsidiary CMB Plastique, which deals with the production of plastic bottles and caps, to Dislog Group for a sum of 330 million dirhams.
“This transaction will also allow Dislog Group to strengthen its position as an industrial group,” says Moncef Belkhayat, CEO of Dislog Group.
CMB Plastique, the company housing this activity, is the Moroccan leader in the production of PET preforms (bottles before blowing), with an annual volume of nearly 700 million preforms per year.
The transaction will reduce Mutandis’ debt level and will not have a significant impact on the group’s current net income, as the savings on financial expenses will nearly offset the contribution of the divested activity to the group’s overall result.
The transaction is expected to be completed during the first quarter of 2024, subject to the approval of the Competition Council.
