Industrial group Mutandis, which specializes in FMCG products, has announced that it has signed an agreement to sell its subsidiary CMB Plastique, which carries out the plastic bottles and closures business, to the Dislog Group, for MAD 330 million.
"The transaction will also enable Dislog Group to consolidate its position as an industrial group," stresses Moncef Belkhayat, CEO of Dislog Groupe.
CMB Plastique, which houses this business, is Morocco's leading producer of PET preforms (bottles before blow-molding), with an annual volume of almost 700 million preforms.
The transaction will enable Mutandis to reduce its level of debt, and will have no significant impact on the Group's net income before non-recurring items, as the savings in financial expenses virtually offset the contribution of the divested business to the Group's overall income.
The transaction will be completed during the 1st quarter of 2024, subject to approval by the Conseil de la Concurrence.
