In partnership with the Ministry of Education, Preschool and Sports, Dislog Group and P&G have financed the reconstruction of two schools damaged by the September 8 earthquake in the province of Taroudant.
The two schools, located in the Fouzara and Afza douars, reopened their doors on Saturday, in the presence of representatives of the local authorities, the P&G Maroc alumni association, the Dislog Fondation pour les œuvres sociales, the Rotary association, the Ministry's regional director, teachers and pupils.
In a statement to Le Site info, Dina Slassi, in charge of charitable works for the P&G Morocco alumni association, said the initiative aims to reduce the impact of the terrible earthquake that hit the region, and help reopen damaged schools to provide pupils with the right conditions for a good education.
"The reconstruction of the two schools, each with over 100 pupils, took two months. Reconstruction of the ceilings, renovation of the floors, creation of sanitary facilities and a dedicated sports area... Everything was refurbished. The walls have also been repainted, and a courtyard has been laid out for the pupils' breaks", explains Slassi, pointing out that both schools will also benefit from digital equipment.
He adds that the reconstruction of the two facilities would not have been possible without the contribution of Dislog Maroc and P&G.
